- "Antelope jackrabbits live in the arid grasslands and shrublands of Northern Mexico and Arizona. They get their name from their fleet-footed nature, being able to run over 70.00 km/h. They feed on leaves, grass and sometimes cacti, and prefer greener areas with more vegetation to the dry desert. Adult antelope jackrabbits weigh between 2.70 kg and 4.70 kg, and measure 0.45 m to 0.60 m from head to tail. They are mostly solitary animals. Males fight over females during their long mating season, and females subsequently raise their young alone."
