Ernsdorf is a subregion of Rinderland, which can be found on the west edge of the Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve.

"Ernsdorf is located at the meeting of the mountains of the Rinderland and the flatter lands of Central Europe. The region, covered with spruce trees, is also home to numerous wisents [European Bisons]. The mountains contains a vast networks of caves particularly appreciated by the speleologists and biologists."
