The Recovering Teekon Forest is one of three subregions of the Teekon Forest Region of the reserve Yukon Valley. It is the subregion that represent the most the eponymous region by its lack of vegetation, leafless trees & fallen timber.
Be wary of wolves that roams this harsh habitat in search of the small but local population of moose, caribou & plain bison. Red foxes are occasional visitors.
The most abundant animal in the subregion is the grey wolf.
"When the fire ravaged the Teekon Forest two years ago, it left behind a sad pledge of the power of nature. We just started our restoration campaign in the area, but it seems as wolves are already back and nothing frighten them too long.
