Sylvestre's Trail is a sub-region of Settlers End, which can be found in the north-east corner of Silver Ridge Peaks.
Description[]
Seeking to find an overland route from New Mexico to California in the late 18th century, Franciscan friars Atanasio Domínguez and Silvestre Vélez de Escalante received invaluable assistance in Colorado from a Ute guide they dubbed Silvestre, from whom this region takes its name. A paved road runs through here above the cirque in the direction they went.
